In the older part there are: on the first floor, a large fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (total 5 beds ) and three bathrooms. on the ground floor two large bedrooms with a bathroom each, a small service room with one bed, and a laundry bathroom. The ground floor has also a smaller kitchen, used in summer for easy access to the external dining area under the front porch. The annex, 10 meters from the main building, is 75 sq meters large (750 sq feet) and covers a pool fed with deep underground thermal water which can be heated up to 35 C ( 95 F). Consider that San Casciano is almost 600 m altitude and swimming outside is a pleasure only for a couple of months. During the rest of the year a warm hydro massage is a much better option. In the annex there is also an ‘emergency bedroom’ with double bed and a bathroom.

Two good restaurants make dining out a real pleasure: La Fontanella in the newest part of the Village and Daniela one of the best known restaurants in the area and a stop for celebrities that own houses nearby. On the southern side moving from Tuscany into Lazio (the region of Rome which is less then two hours away) there is the charming village of Trevinano which can be seen from Costarelle on the top of an impressive tufo rock. The village is dominated by the Castle of the Prince Buoncompagni Ludovisi a Roman Nobel Family which once owned the whole area around, including Podere Costarelle. Trevinano has only 160 inhabitants but two very nice restarants one Gianfranco (strictly local food and very simple service) in the small square in front of the Castle and the other La Parolina just out of the Village, with very sofisticated cooking, and great choice of wines. By car Podere costarelle is very close to San Casciano dei Bagni (5 km), which can be reached by car in less then two hours from Rome (exit Fabro on A1) or from Florence (exit Chiusion A1).
