Restored detached house in the historic centre of Miazzina (Verbania) at the foot of the Natural Park of Valgrande, 750 m above the sea level.
The managing authority of the park organizes many events on the territory of the protected area. There are many paths in the nature: they are all easily accesible and not particularly difficult. You don’t need to be an expert walker, appropriate clothes and the will to lose yourself in the nature with a curious spirit will be enough. Along the route there are explicative panels that describe the characteristics of the surrounding environment with pictures and brief textes.
The paths comes together with a guidebook that you can use during the stroll or read it at home.
The house is about 10 km far from Lake Maggiore. On the Lake there are several interesting places to be seen:
- Palazzo Borromeo on the Isola Madre and on Isola Bella, the two islands on the lake. The two buildings are the dwelling of the Borromeo family.
- Villa Ducale in Stresa, near the historic centre, was built by the Bolongaro family. It was the property of Antonio Rosmini, too.
- Villa Faraggiana is situated in Meina; it was a zoological museum first, then an orphanage and a convalescent home.
- Villa Giulia is situated in Verbania and it was built by Bernardino Branca in 1847.
- Villa Pallavicino is located in Stresa and it is a zoological garden ofrare beauty.
- Villa Ponti is a eighteenth-century villa in the historic centre of Arona.
- Villa Treves is in Belgirate and it hosted Gabriele D’Annunzio and Giovanni Verga.
- Villa Rusconi-Clerici is situated in Verbania and it was built and owned by Stefano Türr, Ferdinando Biffi and his sons, the counts Rusconi-Clerici. It hosted artists like Troubetzkoy, Marco Minotti and Daniele Ranzoni, soldiers like Cadorna, the general, and several aristocratic families.
- Villa San Remigio, situated near the gardens of Villa Taranto, has a Renaissance and Baroque style.
The ski resorts are 20 km and 100 km far, dependind on the different resorts.
The house is furnished with precious finishes. It is composed of entrance, kitchen, living room with 3 windows, bathroom with window. An internal staircase leads to the upper floor where you can find a bathroom with bath tub, a bedroom with balcony on the facade, walk-in closet. Another staircase leads to the large room on the attic with a large window.
There is also a small garden for barbecues and lunches.
The property is situated a few steps from shops, the town hall and the post office.
